A. Introduction

This section provides procedures for developing recipient allegations about current household composition during the RZ interview.

B. Description of RZs Completed on MSSICS Screens

Opening a “REDETERMINATION with or without RECAPs” event creates a MSSICS “path” which guides the interviewer to the appropriate screens to document allegations and evidence relating to current household composition, as necessary.

C. Description of Form SSA-8202-BK

There is no question on form SSA-8202-BK specifically designed to elicit information about current household composition.

D. Description of Form SSA-8203-BK - Question 7

Question 7 on form SSA-8203-BK — Do any other people live in the same household with you and your spouse?

E. Procedure - SSA-8203-BK

Skip question 7 on the SSA-8203-BK if the recipient's permanent residence is an institution.

If the recipient has an ineligible spouse, list him/her in the spaces provided.

Do not re-list the individuals documented in the fill-in spaces for question 6.

F. Procedure - developing allegations

Develop allegations about current household composition as follows:

1. Recipient alleges no other people live with him/her

If the recipient alleges no other people live with him/her and other information in SSA records agrees , do not develop current household composition further.

2. Recipient alleges that someone else lives in the household or no one else lives in the household

If the recipient alleges that someone else lives in the household or no one else lives in the household and other information in SSA records conflicts, develop any changes per instructions in SI 02305.088G.

3. Determine if a protective writing applies for other individuals

Determine if a protective writing applies for other individuals who live in the household such as the ineligible spouse (i.e., they turned 65, or became blind or disabled) per:

• GN 00204.010 for protective writing criteria; and

• GN 00204.012 and SI 00601.037D for closeout procedures.

G. Procedure - documenting allegations

Document information as required by POMS instructions for the issues listed in SI 02305.089L.

• SSA-8202-BK - List individuals who move into or out of the household and document material information in REMARKS section of the form.

• SSA-8203-BK - complete the fill-in spaces on the form. If necessary, use the REMARKS section of the form, too.

• SSA-8006-F4 - Complete an SSA-8006-F4 for RZs completed on paper forms, if necessary per SI 00835.600.

• MSSICS — Document material information on the LHHC and associated screens. See MSOM MSSICS 010.013 for instructions on completing the LHHC screen.
