A. Introduction

This section provides procedures for developing recipient allegations about the receipt of food stamps during an RZ interview.

B. Description of RZs Completed on MSSICS Screens

Open a “REDETERMINATION with or without RECAPs” event creates a MSSICS “path” which guides the interviewer to the appropriate screens to document allegations and evidence relating to receipt of food stamps, as necessary.

C. Description of Form SSA-8202-BK - Question 13

Question 13 — This question is divided into three parts:

• “Are you currently receiving food stamps? If YES, go on to question 12. If NO, go on to part “b.” ”

• “Have you filed a food stamp application within the past 60 days on which you have not received a decision?”If YES go on to question 12. If NO, go on to part “c.”

• “Do you want to apply for food stamps?”

D. Description of Form SSA-8202-OCR-SM

There is no question on the SSA-8202-OCR-SM specifically designed to obtain information about eligibility or potential eligibility for Food Stamps.

E. Description of Form SSA-8203-BK - Question 25

Question 25 — Is the same as question 13 on the SSA-8202-BK.

F. Description of Forms SSA-3988-OCR-SM and SSA-3989-OCR-SM

There are no questions on either the SSA-3988-OCR-SM or the SSA-3989-OCR-SM specifically designed to obtain information about eligibility or potential eligibility for Food Stamps.

G. Procedure

Follow procedures in SI 01801.010 to screen individuals for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligibility or application status.
