DI 81010: FO Procedures - Electronic Process
BASIC (01-08)
EDCS is a web-based application that is used by the Field Office (FO) to record disability information for a claim. The information collected in EDCS mirrors the information collected on the paper disability reports (e.g., SSA – 3368) and Internet Disability Reports (IDRs). Employees in other components (i.e. Disability Determination Services (DDS), Office of Quality Performance (OQP), Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR), and Processing Centers (PC) use eView to view the information entered into EDCS by the FO.
