A. When to use the VERN screen

Use the VERN screen to verify earnings and update disability earnings-related data on the disability control file (DCF). (See DI 55030.015G.)

B. How to get to the VERN screen

To get to the VERN screen:

• select 32, “Continuing Disability Review File,” from SSA's main menu (MAIN) screen;

• select 13, “Verify/Update Earnings,” from the CDR selection menu (MCDR) screen; and

• enter the beneficiary/recipient's SSN and the “earnings beginning” date.
