RS 00615: Computation of Monthly Benefits Amounts

POLICY

1. Introduction

During June 1978 - December 1978, the DRC provision may have affected computations based on 1/2 of the PIA. This is the period before the remarried widow's rate is determined to be 100% of the PIA.

2. Monthly Rate

  • MSSR not involved, pay 1/2 PIA plus DRCs.

  • MSSR involved, pay higher of MSSR or 1/2 PIA plus DRCs

3. Effective January 1979 On

The remarried rate is redetermined to the 100% rate and the regular DRC provision for widows applies.
