A. Procedure

1. Deductions for no entitled child in care

If a spouse under FRA no longer has a child in care, the PC will:

1. Suspend benefits, and

2. Notify the spouse that she or he is subject to deductions while under FRA unless reduced benefits are elected. (See RS 00202.055.)

2. Notice

Send an additional notice in advance of the one mentioned in RS 00202.090A.1.b. if spouse's benefits are to be suspended because the youngest child is attaining age 16 and the spouse is the payee.
