A. Background

The Lebanese Government conducted a census in 1932 which served as the basis for the civil recordkeeping system established in that year. We do not know the extent of that census but some persons born before 1932 were registered. Census records for persons born before 1932 were based on their statements or those of third parties.

B. Policy

SSA evaluates certifications from census records under GN 00307.618B.1.a. - GN 00307.618B.1.b.
