FSPs assist in the development of claims and the evaluation of evidence.

Claims-taking FSPs will:

  • examine all evidence submitted through them in light of their knowledge of the recordkeeping systems and practices in the country;

  • call irregularities to SSA's attention; and

  • resolve any discrepancies.
