Introduction

An eligible individual who lives in an institution may be receiving countable ISM. The ISM may be provided by the institution itself or by a third party who pays for the individual's food and shelter in the institution.

The following sections describe the policies and procedures for determining whether an eligible individual receives ISM in the institution where he resides.
