  • A. Policy - use Zip codes for foreign addresses
  • You must use Zip codes, rather than consular codes, for foreign APO, DPO, and FPO addresses.
  • In addition, you must use specific State and County codes instead of geographic codes.
  • B. Procedure – military post offices
  • 1. Use the Zip codes
  • Use the Zip code the beneficiary provided and locate it in the Office of International Operations (OIO) Military Post Office ZIP Codes and Locations found in the OIO Reference Library.
  • Use the Zip code the beneficiary provided and locate it in the Division of International Operations (DIO) Military Post Office ZIP Codes and Locations found in the DIO Reference Library.

  • AA = Central & South America (not including Canada)
  • AE = Canada, Middle East and Africa
