2101. REQUEST FOR ORIGINAL DOCUMENT AFTER RECEIPT OF UNCERTIFIED PHOTOCOPY
Please submit the original document. However, if it is necessary to submit a photocopy, it must be certified as a true and exact copy of the original by the official custodian of the record or an American Consular Officer, and bear his seal and signature.
2102. SALE/TRANSFER OF BUSINESS
You must submit evidence to establish that you have disposed of your business. Please send us documentary evidence of the (a) (sale, (b) (transfer) of your business. The document must be certified by the local official as being taken from records of the community. We must learn from this document the names of the seller and buyer, the portion of the business sold or transferred, and the date the sale or transfer becomes final. The document must indicate whether you will share in the management or future profit of the business in any way.
2103. LETTER OF APPOINTMENT AS LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE
We must have a certified copy of (a) your, (b) Name's appointment as legal representative of the estate. This document must bear the signature of the clerk of the court or the raised seal of the court.
2104. REQUESTING PROOF OF 10-YEARS' RESIDENCE
Please send us any documentary evidence you have which would establish that you resided in the United States for at least 10 years. You should submit passports, visas, employment records, rent receipts, driver's licenses, or similar evidence.
If you have no documentary evidence, please submit a list of names and addresses of your employers in this country and the dates of your employment. You may also list the names and addresses of your friends or relatives in this country who would have knowledge of the length of your residence.
