GN 01717: Agreement With Sweden

Policy

The agreement with Sweden became effective January 1, 1987.

Periods of Swedish and U.S. Social Security coverage a worker earned prior to January 1, 1987, may be used to establish entitlement to U.S. or Swedish totalization benefits. However, the earliest possible month of entitlement to such benefits is
January 1987.
