Procedure

Send copies of the following to the FBU servicing the address of the claimant or beneficiary:

  • SSA replies to congressional, Commissioner and White House referrals;

  • SSA replies to inquiries from foreign officials on specific cases;

  • approved Forms SSA-553 (Special Determination); and

  • reconsideration Determinations.

Annotate the copies with the name of the servicing FBU, or if unknown, the name and address of the claimant.
