A. Introduction
Federal census records can be valuable evidence in establishing a claimant's DB. Although the census has been taken continuously every 10 years in most parts of the U.S., there are certain States and territories outside the 48 contiguous States where the census has not always been taken.
B. Areas outside the 40 contiguous States available for search by Bureau of the Census
The following list shows the States and territories outside the 48 contiguous States and the years in which the census was taken for each of them.
