- To be eligible for a subsidy, an individual or couple must have countable resources below certain limits prescribed by law that adjust annually based on changes in the consumer price index.
- NOTE: If an individual or couple expects to use some of his or her resources for funeral or burial expenses DON’T COUNT $1500 per individual ($3000 for a married couple); the HIGHER resource level applies.
